ACSE has a long and proud history of service to its members and the profession, and since its inception in 1933, ACSE has contributed to many of the positive changes that have occurred within the industry. Currently, we are involved in the following activities:

Education

  • Continuing Professional Development seminars and a half day Annual seminar and Dinner to enhance educational and professional development, provide opportunites for interaction with industry leaders and for networking.
  • ACSE's University Lecturing Program helps to promote structural engineering as a career path to engineering students, and the annual University Student Scholarship encourages excellence in structural design among final year engineering students.

Research

  • ACSE funds a research project of direct relevance to its members.

Standards

  • We support members who serve on Standards Australia Committees in order to contribute to the safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of engineering in Australia.

Government Legislation

  • Representations are made to Government bodies and local Councils on matters of concern to members, as they arise.

  • ** Taylor Thompson Whitting were the design engineers for both projects displayed on this page. The projects are the Superdome and Scientia which are both located in Sydney, NSW.
