Kevin Berry

BE (Hons) Civil, MIE(Aust), CPEng, NPER, CEng MICE, MIPENZ

Kevin has over 10 years professional experience and is an Associate Director in the Structures group at Taylor Thomson Whitting. Prior to joining TTW, he worked for Holmes Consulting Group in New Zealand and for Buro Happold in the United Kingdom. Kevin has experience in the design of a variety of structures ranging from residential to cultural, commercial and industrial. He has experience in complex building modelling and analysis with a special interest in complex geometric structures, form finding and parametric design. 

Stephen Giblett

Firm: Mott MacDonald

BEng (civil), MIEAust, CEng, NPER, 

Stephen is the Buildings Group Leader at Mott MacDonald NSW, with over 20 years of structural engineering experience in both Australia and the UK. His key interest is in architectural buildings and structures with complex structural requirements.

Todd Halliday

Firm: Northrop Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd

Todd Halliday is a Principal and the Sydney Structural Section Manager at Northrop Consulting Engineers. Todd commenced his engineering career in 1996 and joined Northrop in 2005 as a Senior Structural Engineer. In addition to his structural design consultancy experience he has 2 years’ experience in construction management. As a result of this construction experience Todd has a passion for providing practical cost effective solutions to both clients and builders alike.
Matt Harding

Firm: Robert Bird Group

BE (Hons) Civil, MIEAust, CPEng, NPER, MIPENZ, CPEng Matt Harding is a Principal in Robert Bird Group Sydney Office and has over 15 years’ experience in New Zealand, Canada and Australia. Prior to Joining Robert Bird Group in 2006, Matt worked for Beca in the Wellington office with a focus on commercial building and industrial design. Matt has gained a wide range of experience in major residential, retail and commercial projects as well as large infrastructure projects and PPP’s.

Michael Jaroszewicz

Firm: MAJ Consulting Pty Ltd

Michael is the Principal of MAJ Consulting and has been a company Director since 1989.He has over 33 years of experience in the structural design, construction and refurbishment of medium rise buildings. He has worked in the commercial, health-care, hospitality and residential sectors in Australia, as well as the UK and Middle East. As a Project Manager he has more than 20 years experience in the repair of buildings damaged by earthquake, foundation settlement and spalling concrete.

  Nicholas Kokolis

Firm: Acor Consultants 

BE, MEngSc, MIE(Aust), CPEng, NPER Registered Building Practitioner Victoria

Nick is a Director of ACOR Consultants with over 30 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry. He is responsible for the multidiscipline design, management, coordination and supervision of large infrastructure and building projects in the sectors of mining & resources, defence, transport, industrial, commercial, retail and institutional. Nick has proven capability in aquatic facilities and a particular interest in large span steel frames and post-tensioned concrete structures. Having engineered and supervised the rehabilitation and restoration of numerous historic buildings he has specialist expertise in heritage works, adaptive re-use and remediation. He provides litigation support and undertakes work in forensic and diagnostic engineering.

Eamonn Madden

Firm: Partridge and Partners

BE MSc(Struct) MIE(Aust), CPEng, NPER(Structural), Registered Building Practitioner Victoria & Tasmania

Eamonn is Managing Director of Partridge and has over 30 years’ experience as a structural engineer in Ireland, the UK and Australia. His work includes residential, industrial, commercial, building facades, public art projects and the opening and closing ceremonies for international sporting events. He has a special interest in the design of Temporary Structures for the arts and entertainment industries and large scale one-off special events.

Simon Matthews

Firm: M+G Consulting Engineers


Simon is a partner of M+G Consulting Engineers and has 25 years of engineering experience. He has extensive knowledge of residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Simon has a special interest in Earthquake engineering and is a committee member of the Earthquake Loading Code, Standards Australia. He is also a member of the New Zealand National Society of Earthquake Engineering.

  Trudy Myers

BE (Hons) Civil, CPEng, MIEAust, NER 

Trudy has over 10 years experience in the building and construction industry with comprehensive experience in the design, detailing and construction of a variety of building materials across a wide range of sectors, with a passion for architecturally inspired structures. In her role as a Principal engineer she leads a team of people to deliver an economical, innovative and functional design. 
She manages the design and delivery of projects from the preliminary design phase through to project completion. Trudy has had experience working on numerous complex projects around Australia, with a focus on delivering economical & innovative solutions. She has a strong technical background strengthened by excellent leadership and communications skills. Trudy is motivated, proactive and a successful leader in her field, and has been awarded Young Professional Engineer 2012, and Highly Commended Future Leader in 2013.

Rick Pilz

Firm: GHD

BE, MIE(Aust), CPEng, NPER

Rick is a principal Structural Engineer with over thirty years’ experience in design and management of projects in Australia, Middle East, UK, South East Asia, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. He undertakes fundamental lead rolls with multi-disciplined design teams on projects.His experience encompasses work on major high-rise buildings and commercial and industrial structures as well as transportation infrastructure projects covering civil structures and bridges for rail and road projects. Experience on these projects incorporates all phases of concept design through to detailed design and documentation to construction supervision.

Andrew Simpson

Firm: SDA Structures Pty Ltd

MIE(Aust), CPEng, NPER, CEng, MIStructE, RPEQ, Registered Building Practitioner Victoria and NT

Andrew is a Director of SDA Structures and has over 25 years of experience in the design, construction and refurbishment of building structures. His work includes numerous medium and large-scale public buildings, educational facilities, commercial premises and residential projects.
