Lecturing Program

ACSE's University Lecturing Program helps to promote structural engineering as a career path to engineering students, and the annual University Student Scholarship encourages excellence in structural design among final year engineering students.

 Live load management during the  installation of the Annish Kapoor exhibition  Nick looks at the problems associated with installing heavy sculptures and exhibits on the existing structure at the MCA, analysis of the floor capacities and the interaction between the large memory exhibit and the supporting structure.

 Earthquake Design  Looking at lateral stability of buildings focusing on design for earthquake to AS1170.4. There will also be a presentation of experiences of Northrop structural engineers and the Christchurch earthquake recovery.
