History
ACSE was founded in 1933 and has been serving independent consulting structural engineers (its Members) and the community since. The Association of Consulting Engineers Australia (the 'ACEA') is the professional association for all independent consulting engineers, serving its Members and the community on a wider range of issues. The ACSE is proud to have become part of the ACEA as its Structural Branch in New South Wales.
You not only have access to the services of ACEA, but also to a group of dedicated people who devote part of their time to improving the service provided in this constantly changing profession.
ACSE is run by the Board of Management elected by its peers. All Professional Structural Engineers, whose principal activity is consulting in the structural engineering field, are eligible to apply for membership. Continued membership is subject to compliance with standards set by the Members as well as those of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the ACEA.
Members are from firms ranging from sole practices to multi-discipline organisations with over 1000 employees.
