University Student Scholarships:
2003 Daniel Cook
Daniel Cook from the University of Sydney won the inaugural ACSE Student Scholarship and was presented with his award at the ACEA NSW Division Annual Dinner on 20 May, 2004, by ACSE President, Eva Tihanyi.
Daniel grew up in regional NSW, attended James Sheahan High School in Orange and is a recent graduate of the University of Sydney. Along with his Bachelor of Engineering degree, he was awarded the J.W. Roderick Prize for best thesis in final year Civil Engineering.
Daniel is currently employed as a Structural Design Engineer with Woolacotts Consulting Engineers.
2004 Christopher Styan
The 2004 winner was Christopher Styan from the University of Newcastle. Chris was presented with his award at the ACSE Annual Dinner on 26 May 2005 by ACSE President, Timothy Hogan.
Chris grew up in Newcastle and attended Whitebridge High School where he achieved the highest grades for the school in the HSC. He is a recent graduate of the University of Newcastle. Along with his Bachelor of Engineering degree, Chris was awarded the scholarship given annually by the Association of Consulting Structural Engineers of NSW for the best Final Year Student Structural Engineering Design Project.
Chris is currently employed as a Design Engineer with Lindsay & Dynan, Consulting Engineers.
